ICST Transactions on Networks and Communications

Aims and Scope

The ICST Transactions on Networks and Communications promotes timely dissemination of high impact research that makes fundamental contribution to the advancement of both theoretical understanding and practical performance of all types of communication networks. Authors are also encouraged to submit tutorial articles of permanent reference value. In reference to the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, the journal is dedicated to all layers of communication except Layer 1 (PHY Layer). Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Network Design: Local, Access, Metro, and Carrier networks, peer-to-peer networks, performance modeling and simulation
  • Future Network Architectures: Future Internet design, delay tolerant networking, self-organized networking, data-centric communication
  • Communication Protocols: error recovery, flow and congestion control, routing, multicasting, medium access control
  • Network Measurement: measurement tools and methodologies, network tomography
  • Network Security: privacy, authentication, access control, intrusion detection and prevention
  • Mobile and Wireless Communication: sensor networks, mesh networks, cognitive radio networks, vehicular communication, IEEE 802.11 networks, WiMAX, Mobile IP
