AMMA 2009, the First International ICST Conference on Auctions, Market Mechanism and their Applications will be held on May 08-09, 2009 in Boston, MA, USA. The conference is devoted to issues that arise in all stages of deploying auction and market mechanism to solve technological, social, environmental or economic problems. AMMA 2009 will present theoretical and empirical examination of questions related to topics, such as combinatorial auctions, market predictions, content delivery networks, sponsored search auctions or research allocation in networks and distributed computing.

AMMA 2009 primarily expects to receive contributions from the academic and research community but the industry and business oriented track of the conference will also provide an avenue for engineers and corporate executives to express their views and opinions. Besides fully developed scientific papers, the technical program of AMMA 2009 will include case studies and new applications that draw from real life situations. The organizing committee of the conference consists of an international team that includes experts from Yahoo Research, Harvard Business School, Stanford University and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
