Sci-C@ST - The Society's Multimedia Sharing Platform
Sci-C@ST provides a multimedia sharing medium for uploading and accessing user-generated multimedia and video content of scientific/technical research activities with advanced tagging and search functions to facilitate information retrieval. Sci-C@ST is designed to efficiently share research results on a more interactive platform by offering a variety of multimedia options, such as video or audio explanations of scientific papers, peer reviews though video clips, video and audio files of keynote speeches, conferences, and workshops, etc.
Sci-C@ST facilitates and simplifies the efficient sharing of rich forms of information among the Society members in order to promote research collaboration, dissemination of results from a broad spectrum of research activities, effective forming of research consortiums, and transformation of theoretical scientific research achievements into concrete practical applications.
Given the unique structure of the portal, Sci-C@ST not only caters to the needs and interests of the scientific/research, regulatory/governmental, and business/industrial sectors individually, but it also facilitates interaction between users from these three different communities. Sci-C@ST features a wide range of diverse content elements such as tutorials, demos, experiments, interviews, keynote and plenary talks, corporate presentations, white papers, and short position papers, etc.
