Internationalization Committee
ICST's charter is to support research, innovation, and technology transfer in a way that is mutually beneficial to Institute members and institutional members worldwide. To this end, cooperation with scientific and engineering communities around the world is a key tenet of the Institute. The fundamental aims and visions of ICST are the unification and focalization of research efforts worldwide to maximize visibility and impact and to promote and support the utilization of excellence on all continents. ICST World Chapters play a key and essential role in this process.The Objectives of the Internationalization Committee are to:
- Increase the level of awareness of international cooperation in research and technology transfer through worldwide chapters
- Set up a worldwide network of contributors and stakeholders
- Identify emerging scientific challenges related to worldwide research communities
- Plan and execute conferences, publications, and related events across the world chapter that is devoted to internationalization
- Implement an international portal which represents all international and intercontinental activities
- Initiate cooperation between all continents by providing a gateway to and from European Research
The EU Commission has adopted the general model grant agreement, which will be used in the financing of international research projects under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). ICST Internationalization Committee will provide assistance to attract worldwide, high profile, quality partners in European funded projects, as well as research opportunities on other continents that focus on funding for international cooperation.
