Technology Challenges Planning Committee
The Technology Challenges Planning Committee is comprised of a Challenge Committee Chair and Co-Chairs, a Liaison Officer and Committee Members. The Members are selected from internationally top-ranked individuals in the fields of science and research, industry, and policy making.
The Committee will:
- Supervise the activities of the Technology Challenges Councils (TECs)
- Act as a bridge and coordinator between the TEC and TAB activities
- Organize, on a regular basis, top-level invited meetings to identify the grand challenges, and recommend establishment of the respective TEC Council
- Issue high level recommendations towards scientific and industry forums as well as for policies and standardization bodies
- Serve as a strategy-level board for direct input into the decision making process of industry, policy making, and funding agencies
- Provide analyses and recommendations through public media
